A partir de 8 de junho de 2024, teremos dois finais de semana dedicados à prática da dança Vogue, divididos em quatro encontros de três horas cada um, com Dani Anjos, Jessy Black Velvet e Edan Mar, importantes representantes do estilo em São Paulo.
A dança Vogue nasceu em Nova York na década de 1970, popularizando-se na década seguinte sob grande influência das passarelas e da revista de mesmo nome. No Brasil, o movimento cresceu bastante nos últimos anos, com a realização das tradicionais balls (batalhas de Vogue), e sua consolidação como manifestação cultural e luta política das pessoas LGBTQIA+.

Dani Anjos, diretora criativa, coreógrafa, performer, trans não binária, nasceu e cresceu na periferia de Heliópolis, uma das maiores favelas de São Paulo. Statement Princess pertencente à Excelente Casa de Mutatis e Main House of Prodigy. Com linguagens e estudos nas danças clássicas e urbanas e audiovisual, já realizou trabalhos no meio artístico nacional e internacional.
Legendary Jessy Black Velvet
Legendary na cena kiki, sendo Pãe da Kiki House of Black Velvet, filhe da Iconic Mainstrain House of Zion, fundadore do projeto Microball e um dos coordenadores do grupo de estudos das categorias Vogue New Way e Vogue Old Way Ballroom SP. Desenvolve seu trabalho sendo pesquisadore da comunidade Ballroom, dançarine performer, docente nos 3 estilos da dança Voguing (Old Way, New Way e Vogue Femme), além de batalhar e compor mesas de júri nas balls de São Paulo e de outros estados do Brasil. Participa mesas de rodas de conversa que pautam assuntos como gênero, sexualidade e raça.
Legendary Imperador Edan Mutatis
Transmasculino, latino, artista da dança e produtor. Faz parte da Cultura Ballroom Brasileira desde 2018, atualmente Imperador e produtor da Kiki Casa de Mutatis @casademutatis, e reconhecido como Legendary Oldway. Na Ballroom Mainstream faz parte da Internacional Iconic House of Ninja @iconichouseofninja.
Fundada em 2018 pelas mães Teena e Bonnie, travestis moradoras de zonas periféricas da cidade, a casa surgiu da necessidade de criar estratégias de sobrevivência e espaços para as vozes de pessoas TLGBQIA+ que possuem um enorme potencial de vida, e tem muito que contribuir e acrescentar para a cena Ballrooom. Mutatis vem do latim e significa Metamorfose. Metamorfose porque as corpas que carregam seu nome são corpas dissidentes que circulam constantemente pela mudança e pelo fortalecimento coletivo de suas próprias identidades. Casa é a possibilidade de se nomear enquanto grupo, família, afeto e acolhimento. Desde sua criação, já realizou projetos em parceria com: Instituto Polis, Oficina Cultural Alfredo Volpi, Sesc Itaquera, Ação Educativa, Espaço de Artes Pretas e TLGBQIAPN+ – Periferia Preta, Casa 1, Absolut, Teatro Flávio Império e Casa de Cultura do Butantã.

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
